as its Newest Associate Member
Washington, D.C., July 21, 2026 – The Satellite Industry Association (SIA) today announced that leading satellite communications technologies provider U.S. Electrodynamics, Inc. (USEI) is the newest Associate Member of SIA. Founded in 1985, USEI provides high-performance RF and satellite communication systems for government, military, and commercial customers. The Company operates a network of teleports serving GEO, MEO and LEO satellites worldwide including U.S. satellite ground stations in Brewster, WA and Vernon Valley, NJ.
Earlier this year, USEI announced it had recently completed a major modernization of its satellite ground infrastructure, deploying a next-generation management and control platform that enables centralized monitoring, telemetry, and remote operation of antennas, RF systems, and network assets across its global sites.
“On behalf of SIA and its members, we are pleased to welcome USEI as the newest member of the Association,” said Tom Stroup, president of the Satellite Industry Association. “The Company’s customer, satellite ground segment, and global teleport expertise make them an ideal addition to the Association. SIA and its members look forward to working with USEI to further strengthen SIA’s role as the primary advocate and voice of the commercial U.S. satellite industry.”
“We are honored to join the Satellite Industry Association and collaborate with the organizations shaping the future of the satellite industry,” said Jim Veeder, Founder and CEO of U.S. Electrodynamics, Inc. “Satellite communications are essential to national security, global connectivity, and resilient infrastructure. SIA provides a vital platform for industry collaboration and advocacy, and we look forward to contributing our expertise in satellite ground systems, advanced technologies, and secure communications in support of its mission to advance and strengthen the commercial satellite sector.”
SIA Associate Membership is open to both U.S. companies and non-U.S. companies engaged in satellite related activities that are committed to SIA’s stated mission and goals and that have a significant stake in the U.S. marketplace. SIA Associate Member benefits include participation in SIA working groups plus all open SIA meetings and events including the Association’s Annual Leadership Dinner, DoD Commercial SATCOM Workshop and SIA’s organized GovMilSpace Forum at the Annual SATELLITE Show.
