Jeff LaMastus, Head of Commercial and Strategy

Jeff LaMastus brings more than 30 years of experience in the satellite communications industry, with a career spanning military, government, and commercial sectors. He began his professional journey in the U.S. Army, where he supported critical missions for the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community. Following his military service, he continued this work as a DoD civilian for an additional five years as the Operations Manager of a ground station in Europe.

In 2000, Jeff transitioned to the private sector, joining PanAmSat, which was later acquired by Intelsat. Over the next 21 years, he held a variety of leadership roles across both business and engineering functions, developing a strong reputation for his technical acumen and strategic insight, particularly within the satellite ground systems sector. His work during this period helped drive operational excellence within the company and build lasting partnerships across the greater satellite ecosystem.

After retiring from Intelsat in 2021, Jeff continued to contribute to the industry as a consultant, advising on key commercial and technical initiatives. In his current role as Head of Commercial and Strategy at USEI, he leverages his deep industry knowledge and leadership experience to shape the company’s strategic direction, strengthen customer partnerships, and drive growth across its commercial portfolio.
