Paul Kaminski

Dr Kaminski served as the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology, Chairman and CEO of Technovation, Inc; chairman, director, member, or advisor to a wide variety of public and private companies including, General Dynamics, Hughes Research Labs, RAND, Boeing, Raytheon, MITRE, Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Lab, MIT Lincoln Lab; Exostar, and several government advisory boards including the President’s Intelligence Advisory Bd, Defense Science Bd, DNI Senior Advisory BD, and NRO Advisory Bd.
In his early 20 year Air Force service he developed technology for our 1sr precision guided munitions, our 1st Synthetic Radar Intelligence Satellite, and directed our early Stealth programs – F-117A & B-2. He has had a continuing career involving large program management, and the development and application of advanced technology in both the private and public sectors.
He is a member of the National Academy of Engineering, a Fellow of the Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers, and a Fellow and an Honorary Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics & Astronautics.
His awards: The National Medal of Technology presented by President Bush, Election to the National Aviation Hall of Fame, Department of Defense Medal for Distinguished Public Service (highest award for a civilian given by The Secretary of Defense – 5 awards), Defense Distinguished Service Medal, Director of Central Intelligence Director’s Award, DIA Director’s Award, Air Force Academy 2002 Distinguished Graduate Award, the Ronald Reagan Award for Missile Defense, the Perry Award for precision strike, the Reed award for Aeronautics,the IEEE Simon Ramo award for Systems Engineering, the IISS Possony Medal for Outstanding Contributions to Strategic Progress through Science and Technology, the AOC Gold Medal, the Netherlands Medal of Merit in Gold, the French Republic Legion d‘honner, the SPIE Lifetime Achievement award, the Air Force Systems Command Scientific Achievement Award, and the Air & Space Association Lifetime Achievement Award. He has been recognized as a Pioneer of National Reconnaissance and a Pioneer of Stealth.
He received a Bachelor of Science and Engineering from the Air Force Academy, Master of Science degrees in both Aeronautics and Astronautics and in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Stanford University.
